Miracle Seed
Where did File:Miracle Seed Charcoal Artwork.png come from? You've called the seed in that image the Miracle Seed, but Poképédia calls it the standard Berry. Is there some context around where the image is used that could indicate which it is? Appearing alongside Charcoal would seem to indicate that it's the Miracle Seed though. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 19:16, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
:The image comes from the instruction manual included with Pokémon Gold and Silver and is on page 23. The seed, I assumed it to be the Miracle Seed as that section talks about held items. It could also be a berry (the BERRY, PSNCUREBERRY, and BRUNT BERRY are mentioned in that section) but from the way it looks, I thought it was the Miracle Seed as it looks more like a seed or nut than a berry or type of fruit. Welcome

Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Adamws!
Bulbagarden Archives bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to upload images to help Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. Before you jump in, take a look at these helpful tips:

 • Uploaded images must meet several requirements. Please see the upload form and/or manual of style before you upload a new image.
 • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload. There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit.
 • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
 • Personal images are no longer allowed. Any personal images found will be deleted on sight.
 • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
 • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Small heads up

First of all, thanks for your help; but from now on, before tagging files, please make sure you know what you're doing. If you are unsure about how to proceed with tagging (or actually, before starting tagging random files), please ask us so we can guide you through the right path. As per the Manual of style, photos and manga scans are best left as .jpg files. Thank you. Masatoshitalk 04:51, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Haircut Brother image

In case you came to tell me about the various versions I uploaded, I'm sorry. I was having a problem with my transparency tool. This shouldn't happen again. Adamws (talk) 23:53, 8 September 2014 (UTC)

Screenshots

It seems you've misunderstood what I meant on the tags I placed on the Anville Town train images. The first version of the train images were blown up from their natural format and then cropped to a different sizing, simply taking those images and forcing them to 256×192 only causes additional image distortion. DS screenshots should be taken, and typically uploaded, at their natural 256×192 resolution. This produces a clean image like this. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 17:08, 3 November 2014 (UTC)

Ok, I understand. I'll try to find the original versions that I got from the game and upload the correct size and having the images not be distorted. It may take a little time though, but I'll get on it. Adamws (talk) 00:09, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Sprite request

I have no rush for this, but can you upload the overworld sprite of Serena, the girl in the Battle Hall that is found in PtHGSS? The sprite can also be found in the Goldenrod Radio Tower (1F) if that helps. If there's also a distinct sprite for Winston, can you upload that as well? He appears instead of Serena if you play as a female character. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks in advance! ht14 23:14, 20 December 2014 (UTC)

Ok, so I went and looked. Serena uses the Battle Girl IV OD sprite and Winston uses the Youngster HGSS OD sprite in HGSS. In Platinum, I believe that Winston would use the Youngster DPPt OD sprite, but that would need to be confirmed. Adamws (talk) 07:03, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
As far as Winston is concerned, I'm not too sure since I don't have the female character for playing HGSS, but the sprite you suggested for Serena is incorrect. Serena's OD sprite seems to have pigtails and wears blue. If you need a screenshot, let me know. This character sprite also shows up at the Pokéathlon. ht14 15:42, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
The Serena sprite in Platinum is the Battle Girl IV OD, I can take a look in HGSS. As for Winston, here[1] is a screenshot of Lyra talking to Winston. I will need to doublecheck with Platinum to see if Winston uses the Youngster sprite there. Adamws (talk) 21:39, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
Serena HGSS sprite uploaded and the Winston Pt sprite is confirmed to be a Youngster sprite. Adamws (talk) 21:52, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
Awesome! Thanks! ht14 22:31, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Sorry for bothering you again! Can you also upload the OD sprites for Felicity? Thanks! ht14 23:39, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

HGSS Felicity sprite uploaded and the DPPt sprite is the Ace Trainer f IV Snow OD. Adamws (talk) 21:38, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Thanks again for your help! ht14 23:26, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
Another request! This is for Shōko, who is unnamed in BW. Check the article for details. Thanks in advance! ht14 00:45, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
Done. Adamws (talk) 08:21, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
Oh, turned out it was a sprite that also existed after all, haha. Oh well. We also need Cedric. I was searching for a while, hoping there would be other sprites, but it seems that's really it for the images we're missing. ht14 18:23, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Sprite uploaded and put on Bulbapedia article. Adamws (talk) 01:11, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

Your screenshots

Some of your recent uploads seem to be a bit blurry, unlike ones that have been previously uploaded. Could you fix that? --Abcboy (talk) 03:26, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

I will try, but they may not be the exact dimensions that are requested. Adamws (talk) 03:44, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

Small question

Where did you get the constellation images (the ones that appeared in Jirachi: Wish Maker) from, as well as the Max's speedo one? They appear to be way too small. Pattyman (talk) 18:59, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

I got them by taking screenshots while they were playing on my computer. I can try to get larger images. They are cropped (half the screen for the Max image and Teddiursa and Ursaring image, and the rest are cropped down to only be the inset that is about one-sixth of the screen). Adamws (talk) 19:21, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
Very well then, but the images need to be a bit bigger. Pattyman (talk) 19:28, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
Ok, I'll get on that. Adamws (talk) 19:31, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Black borders

When you upload pics, for the future, make sure there's no black border, 'cause it makes the pics look bad in comparison to the previous ones.Omojuzeforever (talk) 11:36, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Ok, but I would like to point out that the originals also have that black board on them as well. Adamws (talk) 18:52, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Pinball AniPNGs

Thanks for your work on making AniPNG versions of the Pinball sprites!

Just a quick reminder, when uploading AniPNGs, make sure to include the following template: anipng. - Chosen of Mana 22:17, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

Ok, will do. Adamws (talk) 22:17, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

Those Images

Are those from the original Pokémon Trozei? Uploading the static (only versions in 717 cases, Shiny Genesect has an animated one) in Battle Trozei as I work on the tables, but will probably get to a point where I finish whatever is left when I get down to just a couple of areas remaining. CycloneGU (talk) 20:39, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

Yes these are from the original Pokémon Trozei!. The original gif images needed to be replaced with animated pngs. Adamws (talk) 20:43, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
Awesome. Though I don't know if the animated images would be used in the tables; the old images might still have a use there (see Renegade Meadow and other areas in Battle Trozei to see what I mean). CycloneGU (talk) 22:33, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
Well the gifs are/were (depending on when this is read) used on the location tables, like here. They are also used in the side game data on the Pokémon species' pages. Adamws (talk) 03:28, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
Hmm, I never saw animated icons in those tables as a possible thing to consider. LOL I guess it's kinda cool, though. Too bad I can't get the Genesect bouncing animation for BT. CycloneGU (talk) 05:22, 1 July 2015 (UTC)

Animations

Do you want some assistance uploading or tagging the images? I see you're replacing two for every Pokémon; perhaps I can just go by number order and tag the old ones (even shortly before upload) while you upload the new ones? Might speed things up. CycloneGU (talk) 00:51, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, if you want to tag them with the images with the delete tag, that would help out. Just wait on Quilava, Typholsion, and Totodile's shiny sprites (they still had an error within them). Adamws (talk) 00:55, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
I'll run ahead to 251 for now and stop there. Once you've started and gone beyond the Hoenn starters (I see they will end at 386, obviously), I'll start tagging those. CycloneGU (talk) 00:56, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
Ok. Adamws (talk) 00:57, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
241 Shiny did not upload according to the log. CycloneGU (talk) 01:26, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

For when I get to Castform, what are the filenames there? I think there are four animated images here, correct? Or is there only one animation? Not sure if it always enters in the same normal look or if formes are retained between battles.

Same question applies to Deoxys, as well. It has four formes: Normal, Attack, Defense, and Speed. CycloneGU (talk) 02:31, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

It is only the .gifs that are being switched. Castform's rain, sun, and hail forms are fine (they aren't animated). Deoxys is only in its normal form and speed form in Emerald. Adamws (talk) 02:33, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
Fair enough. Tagging complete, including both Deoxys. Asked Glik about changing the template, but he prefers to leave image reference cleanup to Archives staff, so one of us can poke someone here when you're done. CycloneGU (talk) 03:31, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
Ok, thanks for your help. Adamws (talk) 03:32, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
No problem, glad I could assist! CycloneGU (talk) 03:34, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

File names of the converted files

Be careful of the file names you use when converting jpg/gifs to pngs. Many of the jpg/gifs that were involvd in the converting had unmeaningful file names. I went ahead and moved some of them so far. Other than that, you're doing fine. Pattyman (talk) 15:47, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

Ok, I do know that there are still a few gifs that need to have a different file name when uploaded, but that I can do. I wasn't sure about the few that you fixed on what their names should have been. Adamws (talk) 17:47, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
The ones I fixed followed the naming convention, File:[Media name]_[abbreviation of the company/country published in]_[volume]_[number].png. Pattyman (talk) 17:55, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

--SnorlaxMonster 19:16, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

The image comes from the instruction manual included with Pokémon Gold and Silver and is on page 23. Adamws (talk) 00:03, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Hello, since the categories finally work, I was wondering about some missing box and menusprites for PBR - are there no available sprites for the alternate Formes of Castform and the alternate Forme of Cherrim? I also presume the alternate Formes for Shaymin and Giratina are not available at this time, which is why it's not accounted on my userpage. ht14 23:26, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

Togekiss

Would you be able to replace File:Spr b 5b 468.png with the correct, non-Shiny sprite? Thanks! --Abcboy (talk) 02:20, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

I have taken care of it. Adamws (talk) 04:39, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

Project TFG

Hello! Quick question: where did you source the 360° images of TfG figures from? I would like that information in order to update the summary of those images. Thank you! --E-123 Omega (talk) 01:30, 10 July 2024 (UTC)

The 360° spin images were originally gif files on the archives that I converted and reupload as pngs. I don't know where the original gifs were sourced or by whom. Sorry. Adamws (talk) 02:36, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
