A reminder to please double check before uploading to make sure an image hasn't already been uploaded. For example, a search for Oni Mountain would have shown that :File:Oni Mountain SV.png was already uploaded, and therefore :File:The Oni Mountain SV.png did not need to be uploaded. If you'd like to replace the old image, do so by clicking "Upload a new version of this file" on the file page of the original image and upload the new file over it. Thank you. Welcome

Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Trainersurrel0409!
Bulbagarden Archives bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to upload images to help Bulbapedia and Bulbanews. Before you jump in, take a look at these helpful tips:

 • Uploaded images must meet several requirements. Please see the upload form and/or manual of style before you upload a new image.
 • All images need categories and license tags. Save time and fill them out as you upload. There are many different licenses - be sure to pick the best fit.
 • Use meaningful filenames. Make them descriptive so that searchers can find your images easily.
 • Personal images are no longer allowed. Any personal images found will be deleted on sight.
 • If you don't have any images to submit, you can still help out.
 • If you have any more questions, see the FAQ or ask a staff member.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Summaries

When uploading new images for Bulbapedia, please remember to include a summary on what the image is about.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 16:27, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Polite reminder about this, also short titles are preferred, hence why I renamed your latest image Liko pendant--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 18:03, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
Additionally, please also remember to use the correct licensing templates. There are separate templates for game screenshots and anime screenshots other than the generic screenshot license. You can select these from the dropdown menu when uploading a new file. Thanks, → PikaTepig999 21:35, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
Once again, gentle reminder that short title are preferred for images; you can skip prepositions or small filler words. For example, your recent upload File:The Draconid people in Evolutions.png could've been named shorter as Draconid people Evolutions.png. → PikaTepig999 20:28, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
Reminder: please use shorter image titles. For example, instead of "in the anime", just use "anime". --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:32, 17 October 2023 (UTC)
Kind reminder, please use i-Fairuse-screenshot-game when uploading game screenshots. → PikaTepig999 03:38, 24 October 2023 (UTC)

YouTube Images

Please stop uploading images from other people's YouTube videos. They are often in poor quality, and don't match the original resolution of those games.Lewtwo (talk) 08:47, 29 October 2023 (UTC)

Uploading new versions of files

In case you were not aware, you can upload a new version of a file to replace it. For example, you could reupload File:Liko pendant.png instead of uploading it with a different name at File:Terapagos pendant form PH.png. If you feel that the new name fits better, you can add move after uploading a new version. → PikaTepig999 02:42, 3 November 2023 (UTC)

Dude. There's no need to create new files for a new version of the image. Please just upload over the old file. (File:Lucius Lapras Horizons.jpg and File:Lucius Lapras.png) → PikaTepig999 21:39, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
My guy. If you look at the file history section on a file's page. There's a small link named Upload a new version of this file. Use that please. File:Arceus in its realm.jpg and File:Arceus's form in its realm.jpg. Also, try to not use apostrophe or quotes in filenames. → PikaTepig999 06:16, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
Once again. Please upload images as new versions of existing files, not as duplicate files. The image you uploaded, File:Primal Kyogre PE.png, already existed at File:Primal Kyogre Evolutions.png. → PikaTepig999 19:04, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

Preferred format

Please upload anime images in png instead of jpg. It's a preferred format for Bulbapedia. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:23, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

Please remember this. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:22, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
You're still using jpg instead of png. Also, please use simpler titles. For example, instead of "The time machine in Pokémon Scarlet", you could title the image as "Time machine Scarlet". --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:56, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

Alright then, i'm doing that from now on. Trainersurrel0409 (talk) 21:53, 5 January 2024 (UTC)

Tarountula's abdomen

Are you able to change your image of Tarountula's abdomen from jpg to png as that is our preferred image type, also please don't put 's in the title, better titles would be for example Tarountula abdomen--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 20:05, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

Final warning

Excuse me. You have received multiple reminders by different users to please follow the manual of style and properly name and tag the images you upload. Not only have you rarely followed this advice, you have yet to actually respond to any of these reminders. As such, I am going to have to ask you one final time: please follow the advice you were given. If not, actions may have to be taken. Ataro (talk) 14:21, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

Blocked

You have been asked several times to please follow the manual of style. Multiple times you have failed to honor these requests nor even respond to them. As such, you have been blocked for a day. Please do not continue this behavior or you will receive an even longer block the next time. Ataro (talk) 08:41, 28 December 2023 (UTC)

Uploading new versions of files

Putting this at the bottom of your page to get your attention. As PikaTepig has explained to you above, there's a small link that says Upload a new version of this file at the bottom of image file pages. Please use this to replace existing images with a new version, instead of uploading a duplicate image under a different file name. If you have any questions, please ask. Thank you. Landfish7 (talk) 20:11, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

Oh! I never really noticed it, thank you! I'll make sure to do that next time. Trainersurrel0409 (talk) 20:17, 11 January 2024 (UTC)

Descriptions when uploading an image

Hi, thank you for switching to pngs instead of jpegs. I would also like to remind you to use i-Fairuse-screenshot-game instead of just i-Fairuse-screenshot. Also please add categories to the image description, such as . You can also use link templates such as bp or p to link to appropriate pages on Bulbapedia. Thank you. → PikaTepig999 18:53, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

Categories

When uploading an image, please be sure to also include the appropriate category/categories, like the one(s) belonging to the Pokémon species featured in the image. Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 01:17, 15 February 2024 (UTC)

The same applies for notable human characters, too, forgot to mention. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:44, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
Uh could you explain how to add those please? Trainersurrel0409 (talk) 03:45, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
In order to add categories to images, you can simply add in the image summary when uploading, or add it to the bottom of the page in an edit after it's uploaded. There are many Categories. The most prevalent ones are ones of Pokemon like "Category:Caterpie", but there are also ones for characters, like Category:Scarlet (Adventures). The best thing to is find a similar image, see what categories are on it, and add the ones that are appropriate. Hope this helps! MaverickNate 11:46, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Thank you! It really does! Trainersurrel0409 (talk) 19:38, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

Duplicate files

A reminder to please double check before uploading to make sure an image hasn't already been uploaded. For example, a search for Oni Mountain would have shown that File:Oni Mountain SV.png was already uploaded, and therefore File:The Oni Mountain SV.png did not need to be uploaded. If you'd like to replace the old image, do so by clicking "Upload a new version of this file" on the file page of the original image and upload the new file over it. Thank you. Landfish7 (talk) 19:38, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
