:This, this, and this are too fast, can you slow them down? I'd suggest you start animating starting from the first frame on where you can see the full text (Example: Mienfoo used Focus Blast!), until the foe starts its move. And don't press any button, by the way; let the animation flow, this way, it's easier for the people to read what it says. Do you think you can do that? Welcome to the Bulbagarden Archives, Frugali!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your uploading:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format and guidelines of all images on Bulbagarden Archives.

All of our administrators are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with the Archives.

Tagging images with correct licenses and categories is a must. These guidelines will help you learn more about tagging images.

Miscellaneous
 • Please read the checklist when you upload media files. The checklist is there to make sure you are doing everything necessary when uploading said media files.
 • Be sure to tag and categorize all images. This helps organize the vast amount of images we have here.
 • Check if your image already exists by searching through categories, and Bulbapedia pages. This action will help prevent unnecessary duplicates from appearing.
 • When adding a licensing tag to anime or game screenshots, please avoid just choosing "Screenshot". This is not descriptive and places the images in the wrong category. Make sure to choose "Screenshot from a Pokémon game," or "Screenshot from the Pokémon anime." This will put them in the right categories, and help keep the Archives clean.
 • Does your image have a purpose? Will you be using it on a Bulbagarden Project? Avoid uploading images because you think they are "Cute" or "Awesome". That clutters the Archives.
 • Personal images are limited to two for each User. Personal images include personal logos, personal trainer sprites, drawings, trainer cards and mostly any image that would only be used in the User: namespace and have no encyclopedic value to Bulbagarden and its affiliates. Please tag these with the i-Personal template for easier organization. Under no circumstance should a photograph of one's self ever be uploaded onto Bulbagarden Archives.
 • In addition, please upload images with meaningful names. Names that are just numbers, for example, do not describe anything about the image, and can make it difficult for searchers. Names are just as important as licenses and categories, so make them descriptive. Please be sure that the filenames contain alphanumeric characters only.
 • Due to the many automated templates used on the wiki, lowercase extensions are imperative. That means jpg and png instead of JPG and PNG. It looks cleaner, it works better, and it does not cause any problems. Make sure to always use lowercase extensions.
 • If you're confused about the requirements for uploading files, have a look at this guide.
Thank you, and have a good time uploading here!

Please upload images with lowercase extensions. Images with uppercase extensions don't always work, and using "png" instead of "PNG" is style. Maverick Nate 14:00, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey

The screenshots you're uploading are a bit faded out. You might need to change the settings to get it right. Jellotalk 16:28, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Also, don't forget to categorize the Pokémon in your images. Also, try to reply here instead of replying on other talk pages; it makes conversations convenient for all of us. ht14 05:49, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Animated pngs

What software did you use to compress this file? Masatoshitalk 06:12, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

APNG Optimizer, the program APNG_Fan pointed out to me in this thread (I'm "Hyperion09" btw"). Frugali 14:12, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Alright, thanks, will have a look on it later. Masatoshitalk 15:22, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
By the way, upload another version on which the text can be seen, from [Archeops used Bulldoze!] until before the rival blinks. Masatoshitalk 21:07, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Better, but you should set the last frame to 400ms or so to indicate the end of the move. Masatoshitalk 04:46, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
I had forgotten something as well... You need to have a first frame to show the actual move for browsers that do not support anipngs, such as Chrome, check my contributions with Chrome and you'll see what I'm talking about. Masatoshitalk 06:14, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
Done for Sky Attack, but Bulldoze seems to be a bit buggy... (which is weird, because the source file works perfectly) Frugali 06:46, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, we saw that with Jello a few hours ago, and we're puzzled as to what it might the reason be, but don't worry, if the output file still works, there's no reason to worry. Masatoshitalk 07:14, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
This, this, and this are too fast, can you slow them down? I'd suggest you start animating starting from the first frame on where you can see the full text (Example: Mienfoo used Focus Blast!), until the foe starts its move. And don't press any button, by the way; let the animation flow, this way, it's easier for the people to read what it says. Do you think you can do that? Masatoshitalk 19:10, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
That's kind of why I asked for precise instructions...you wouldn't mind PMing me on the forums in regards to that, would you? I usually deal in still images. Frugali 08:29, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
